Ravensbeck Spring Fashion

Sherry came to us from Peggy House of the Ravensbeck Shelties and Rough Collies. She was an orange sable bitch, quite plain, sired by Champion Jefsfire Freelancer out of Ravensbeck Fairy Ring (Nectan of the Wansdyke x Riverhill Ring Time).

Sherry was not shown once she came out of puppy as she was a little oversize and never really grew a full coat, lots of petticoats but not much else.  However she was a good brood bitch, her first litter to Ch Riverhill Ringmaster producing our lovely Blenmerrow Black Satin our first real show bitch.  Sherry was then mated to our own Blenmerrow Bandolero (Tyneford Token Gold x Sleepless Night from Sheil) which produced Blenmerrow Bolero. 

These two bitches made a huge impact on our breeding programme being the foundations from which our Sheltie family has descended.

Black Satin (Sally Anne) was at the start of our tail female line, through her daughter Blenmerrow Brocade, our first blue merle, and the lovely line of bitches that followed.  Her son Blenmerrow Barleycorn  is behind Int/Nor/Fin/Est Champion Sheldon Space Joker.

Bolero was the mother of Blenmerrow Burnt Oak, sire of Champion Blenmerrow Oak Apple, his litter brother Blenmerrow the Baron and litter sister Blenmerrow Broderie Anglais. Another very influential litter for us.
